Who Killed the Water Car?

Imagine the kind of self preserving mechanisms these industries would use to further their ridiculous existence.
They would probably do everything in their power to stop these inventions from being released and being known to all mankind.
They would kill the inventors and destroy or secure their inventions.
Now I tell you: all of this is not part of your imagination, all of this has happened over the centuries and it still happens now.
